You must be 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license to operate a Coasting Around hire boat.

Please bring your driving licence on the day of your hire

Cancellation policy

There are no cancellation fees if a rental reservation is cancelled more than 14 days prior to the start time of the rental reservation.

If you cancel within 14 days or less, FOR ANY REASON, you will be charged a 20% cancellation fee. The balance will remain on credit in your account to be used for a future booking of your choice.  There are NO REFUNDS.

No Shows: There will be no refunds or credits issued for No Shows.

Weather Related Cancellations: We do not allow cancellations for less than ideal weather.  However, if the weather is bad (Strong winds, heavy rain or lightning) we will call you to cancel and you will be allowed to reschedule for a time of equal or less value without a cancellation fee.

The Umbrella has to be taken down in winds above 20 knots

How old do I have to be to rent a “Coasting Around” BBQ Boat?

Seaworld Drive has roadworks between October 2019 – November 2019 and the local area is very busy during Spring and Summer periods. So please ensure you leave plenty of time to find a carpark.

Parking is free at Mariners Cove. On street parking is available on Seaworld Drive and Marina Mirage carpark is next door.

When you arrive at Mariners Cove walk to the right-side and head towards the main pier where the Helicopter Tours building which is located at the end of the main pier. Take a left before the Gold Coast Helitours office and walk down the ramp we are at the end of the pier.

What is your cancellation policy?

Yes, however the Driver must not be over the legal limit at any time (under 0.05).

How much parking is available?

Children under the age of 12 are legally required to wear a life jacket which we provide.

It is not compulsory for an adult to wear a life jacket in Queensland.  However our hire boats are outfitted with life jackets for all customers. They are all lightweight and easily fit over all clothes comfortably.

Can we bring alcoholic beverages?

Unfortunately no animals are allowed on the round boats

This also includes my own dog who helps to greet customers and then mooches around on the jetty at Mariners Cove, waiting for the round boat to return so he gets another pat.

Customers are very welcome to give attention to Radar the dog and he is very friendly

How many people can be on-board?

The carrying capacity of a Round Boast is 10 People maximum including the Captain and children.

Can I hire a driver to drive my rental boat?

Please arrive 15 minutes before the hire period.  This gives time to conduct a full briefing and get passengers comfy onboard

Your hire starts at the allocated time that was booked. Due to other customers hiring the boats we cannot always extend your time.

There is a charge of $30 for every 10 minutes the boat is brought back late.

To make the most of your boat rental please arrive 15 minutes early so you can receive the full safety brief .

Aim for the BP service Station on the water  located at Mariners Cove next to Marina Mirage to get help docking the round boat at the end of your hire period

Although these round boats can be driven by anyone. A driver for your hire period is available on request.

What if I return the BBQ Boat late?

To protect our staff and customers from Coronavirus (COVID-19) we have applied social distancing measures to our fleet of boats.

This enables us to have a maximum boat capacity of 5 people per boat, or 10 people from the same household.

Our fleet of boats are cleaned and sanitized after every cruise and sanitizer is available on entry.

If you are feeling unwell or have symptoms of COVID-19 please get in touch with us and we will reschedule your boat cruise to an agreed date.

Follow the main Jetty towards the helicopters and then turn left towards the BP fuel station.

There is parking available at Mariners Cove, 60-70 Seaworld Drive, Main Beach 4217 (2 mins before Sea World).
