Terms of Use for Coasting Around Boat Hire

DEPOSIT AND PAYMENT TERMS
Coasting Around boat hire, at its discretion, may hold a reservation for 24 hours, pending payment to confirm a booking. We request a courtesy call or email for any changes of time or details for your booking. Full payment is to be made prior to the hire date. By making a booking as herein or by providing your credit card details, you agree to the conditions of booking.
CONDITIONS OF HIRE AND BOND
The hirer is required to be a minimum of 17 years of age for any boat hire. It is at the total discretion of Coasting Around, that we may accept hirers under the age 25 but not less than 17. A credit card bond will be required for all hires. All hirers must provide a photo ID and mobile phone number on the day of hire. You will be requested to complete our hire agreement which contains the conditions relating to the hire on the day. The hirer will be fully responsible for any damage caused to any vessel by undue care and will be caused to pay for all such damage in full.
ARRIVAL TIME
All hirers are required to arrive 10 minutes before their confirmed booking departure time. If a hirer arrives later than the confirmed booking time then at the discretion of Coasting Around you will be charged from the confirmed booking time agreed. If a hirer does not arrive within 30 minutes of the confirmed booking time then Coasting Around has the right to rebook the vessel and all paid monies will be forfeited.
CONDITIONS OF HIRE
As the hirer and Captain of the boat, your alcohol limit must remain below 0.05 at all times and you are responsible for any disorderly conduct from passengers on-board. Bow riding and towing of vessels or persons are not permitted. No smoking is allowed on-board. Any hire brought back later than the agreed rental time will incur additional fees of $30 for every 10 minutes. No waste material to be thrown in the water, rubbish bin is provided.
RENTAL CANCELLATION POLICY
One person’s perfect day on the water may be too hot for somebody else and too cold for the next person. As a rental company, last minute cancellations are very costly. At the same time, we understand that unforeseen things arise and we don’t feel it is right for you to lose your entire rental fee if you have to reschedule. Our Cancellation policy is simple and strict, but fair.
You may cancel your reservation at any time.
We DO NOT give refunds, rather we will credit your account for use another time.
If you cancel with 14 or more days notice, there will be no penalty.
Any cancellation with less than 14 days notice, FOR ANY REASON, will result in a 20% rescheduling fee.
We do not allow cancellations for less than ideal weather. If the weather is bad due to high winds, lightning or very heavy rain we will call you to cancel and you will NOT be charged the rescheduling fee.
The umbrella will be taken down in winds of 20 knots or more
We reserve the right to cancel any rental at any time due to extreme conditions deemed unsafe.
